Understanding plan management

Self-Managed

You have full control over your funding and can choose any provider. You handle payments, record-keeping and reporting to the NDIA yourself.

Plan-Managed

A registered plan manager pays providers on your behalf and handles the financial admin. You still choose your providers and services.

Agency-Managed

The NDIA manages your funding and pays providers directly. You can only use registered NDIS providers.

Common NDIS questions

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian government program that funds support and services for people with permanent and significant disabilities. It provides individualised funding so participants can choose the supports that help them achieve their goals.

How do I know if I'm eligible?

To be eligible for the NDIS, you generally need to be under 65 years old, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities.

Can I use my NDIS plan on this platform?

Yes. We are a registered NDIS provider, which means you can use your NDIS funding — whether agency-managed, plan-managed or self-managed — to pay for support workers booked through our platform.

What NDIS plan management options are there?

There are three ways to manage your NDIS funds: self-managed (you manage everything), plan-managed (a plan manager handles payments), or agency-managed (the NDIA manages your funds). Our platform works with all three options.
